LEAKAGE!!

SpringSprong's picture

Ok, so I got my V3 about 2 months ago but only got a chance to ride it the first couple of days I had it because of snow, and it was only like 5 min sessions, Now ( 2 months later ) the snow melts and i can ride again!! because of the lack of snow I now ride it for longer duratoins and have notised that i louses air!! At first I thought it was because i didnt tap it out properly when I got it so I re taped it out. I tryed pogoing again and it still lost air! It went from like 30 to 21 ( im light ). Sad(

I dont think their is a leek, I think it only louses air when I bounse.

any help here!!

you don't have to do that.

you don't have to do that. calm down. it's fine if your vurtego leaks 9 PSI. it's not a huge deal. take it apart, clean it, you don't even have to lube it, and then on the very top of the shaft there is a black plastic thing with a bolt, and make sure that it is tight. if that's loose it leaks.

Dan Mahoney's picture

on vurtego V3s there is no

on vurtego V3s there is no bolt on top of the piston. the piston is the bolt itself Tongue

make sure all the bolts are screwed in straight and that you lube it properly. also its not unheard of that if you bounce with low psi it leaks more. the higher the psi the less likely it is to leak.

SpringSprong's picture

ok, thanks. ya im only

ok, thanks.

ya im only 80lbs and is says that you should be 100 or more.

is this why it leeks? will it do that forever?

I hope not because it is leeking really fast when I bounse, It only takes like 5 min for it to drop 10psi =[.

And I dont want to raise the psi because than I cant bounse properly.

Dan Mahoney's picture

well you never know it could

well you never know it could be a defect in the pogo or it could be lack of psi. just make sure everything is properly assembled, cleaned and lubricated. if the problems persist then contact vurtego.

Jake's picture

pump it up to about 60 and

pump it up to about 60 and then just leave it sitting there for a little while. come back and see where it's at.

Dan Mahoney's picture

yeah i agrea that would help

yeah i agrea that would help determin wether or not the pogo has a leaking problem or if its just your psi is too low.

SpringSprong's picture

yeah, ok If the psi is just

yeah, ok

If the psi is just too low will I just have to live with it?

ANd it only leeks on a big bounse form what i can tell, dose that mean anything?

SpringSprong's picture

ok, I did the 60 psi thing

ok, I did the 60 psi thing and it didnt drop at all. I just gave it a lube and clean. their was not much in it...

Its looking like im just too light and the psi is to low.

any sugjestions

Dominic's picture

if you slowly start

if you slowly start increasing the psi, that could help, like for a week ride 30 then the next week 35, and so on...i'm pretty light too, in the 90's and i'm able to comfortably between 50-65 psi

SpringSprong's picture

OMG!! seriously?? can you

OMG!! seriously?? can you use like most of the shaft with a high psi?

thats great!

is it more tiering with a high psi?

Mike Hughes's picture

while it is more tiring you

while it is more tiring you do get alot more height when you push your legs harder

SpringSprong's picture

super dooper!! thanks guys,

super dooper!! thanks guys, can you use most of the shaft at a high psi?

Mike Hughes's picture

i have a large shaft in a

i have a large shaft in a medium so i dont use the whole shaft but i do use alot of it

SpringSprong's picture

k, why put a large shaft

k, why put a large shaft into a medium?

Mike Hughes's picture

it gives you more of a kick at the end and you dont bottom out as much
